FUKUOKA DAY – A Taste of Japan 2016

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Auckland & Fukuoka sister-city relationship, we are holding ‘Fukuoka Day’ on Sat 3 September at the Auckland Town Hall.

This is a free public event for every Aucklander to come enjoy and celebrate the anniversary.

オークランド市と福岡市の姉妹都市提携３０周年を記念して９月３日にオークランドタウンホールにて「福岡デイ」を開催いたします。

このイベントはオークランドの市民がアニバーサリーを祝うための記念行事ですので無料です。

We are inviting the world famous award winning Animator from Fukuoka Japan, Mr Mirai Mizue, who will showcase the world of Mizue Mirai.  There will be other artists from Fukuoka and other parts of Japan exhibiting at the Sister-city art exhibition.  There will be Japanese cultural workshops and demonstrations including Tea ceremony, Origami and Shodo.

世界的に有名なアニメーターの水江未来氏をお招きして「水江未来の世界」をご覧いただきます。「姉妹都市アートエクスビション」では福岡、日本のアーティストのアート作品を展示販売いたします。その他、茶道、折り紙、書道などのワークショップやデモンストレーションなども行います。まだまだ見所はたくさんありますのでお楽しみに！
